Elisabeth Seitz – She was born in 1993 and she is German. Elisabeth, a.k.a. Eli, was European vice-champion in 2011. She is so good at parallel bars that a routine on uneven bars, consisting in flying from the lowest to the highest bar, has been named after her.
Eli took part to the Juniores European Championship in Clermont-Ferrand in 2008 and came sixth in the specialty of uneven bars. From the following year she started competitions at Senior level and took part to the World Championship in London in 2009.
She became continental vice-champion, after the Russian Anna Dement’eva at Berlin European Championship in 2011.
Eli did not qualify for the finals of the team competition with Germany at the London Olimpics in 2012, but she reached the finals of individual competitions and uneven bars. She came tenth at the all-around and sixth at parallel bars.
Eli was part of the German team who won the silver medal at the First European Games in Baku in 2015. She took part to her second Olimpic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016 and gave her contribution to the sixth position of Germany. Moreover, she came seventeenth at the individual competition and was almost on the podium of the final for uneven bars. She got even when she was joint winner of the bronze medal for parallel bars at the European Championship in Cluj-Napoca in 2017.
